Hi everyone,

After getting my brake and clutch fluid changed my clutch felt great - very low take up point, nice firm pedal. But after a week the clutch is now engaging at the very top of the pedal's travel - and its very annoying to drive.

What could have caused this and should I be taking it back to the place that did the work?

Thanks

Greg

Got the system bled and it fixed in temporarily.

It's back now. Mechanics reckon its the master cylinder.

What do you think?

1. clutch squeaks when depressed

2. the hotter the car, the higher the release point and more pedal effort required

3. quite sudden take up

I would be checking the cylinders like others said. I've broken springs and shit inside them before due to my clutch at the time being very heavy duty. Also make sure your clutchs pedal metal bracket isnt bending etc due your new clutch being stronger....ahah i have also broken one of them once again due to a very heavy clutch.

i had the exact same problem.. go my MASTER cylinder changed and now it back to normal.. nice firm pedal release point just below half way out greeat success!! i had a squeak as i depressed my clutch as well.. that is still slighty there... i only got the car back today so in the next few days if it goes again then i change the slave cylinder... but so far all good with just changing the master

dont suppose any of you guys know where to get a new slave cyl from?? any tips please pm me! ta simonnnn

kudos motorsport

adjust you clutch pedal? the lines might have had air in the lines and the pedal was adjusted for that and when u bled it that may have changed the response so u need to adjust for that
