Indicators....new Prob Searched

Got my car on the rd yesterday after 11 months of it being off the rd, was driving along indicators working fine,then all of a sudden no indicators and no indicator signal on the dash either. Its not the fuse in cabin already checked, the hazards work fine. I am an electronics technician so i can find the problem, just wondering if anyone else has had this prob will save me a lot of time and greif if you have.

Check the indicator stalk in particular where it plugs into the column. The R33s seem to be notorious for shorting the internal sliding contacts resulting in melting plastic (you will eventually see smoke) and hear the flasher ticking fast but with no actual flashing.

Good place to start.

OK theres no power getting to the relay and the indicator stalk tests out fine um does any one have the wiring diagram the the inside eletrics i have the engine ones and ecu pinout but no others.
