Beer Baron
it's simple. series 3 is the best, then series 2, then series 1. and that's how they sit in order of price with series 3 costing the most down to series 1. as for the differences there is not much. S3 has xenon lights, nicer wheel, slightly different front bumper (well lip), some other small detail changes. wrxhoon
Do a search and you will find the differences in detail. Buy a series III and make sure it still has the xenons( they havent been converted to halogens ....) nizmo_freek
Series 3 is the best as it has the best interior, best steering wheel, dual airbags, best headlights (xenon), deeper more aggressive front lip (i read it somewere that it also has front brake ducts, hence the different front lip compared to series 1 and 2, dont quote me on that), apparantly it uses a better gearbox than the series 1 and 2 and should be in better conditon than the rest due to its age. Series 2 is 2nd, has the same interior as series 3 but different colour seat inserts and door trim, uses the same steering wheels as series 3, dual airbags (i think),uses same gearbox as series 1, should be in better conditon compared to an older series 1. Series 1 is the "worst" of the 3, it has an ugly flat looking dash panel, ugly steering wheel, only has one airbag, uses the same headlights as series 2, could possibly be in worse condition than the rest due to its age (but older = cheaper usually) the series 1 is basically an older version of the series 2. Series 3 wins hands down for me, they look much more aggresive from the front than the series 1 and 2, but they are all great cars!! Yup - have deeper front lip and front brake ducts - cause they all got in the way of my oil cooler install. Damn but I needed all that practice pulling them on and off for the fun of it. 32vspecII
s3 gearbox has slightly uprated syncros , its not really that much better it has xenons thats like the onlythings realy worth anything apart from the later age (3-4 years) i wouldnt really pay more for those features Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/156076-which-is-the-best-gtr-to-buy/#findComment-2908372 Share on other sites

32vspecII
yep their optional and then become std airbags shouldnt really be a major factor in gtr purchase tho Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/156076-which-is-the-best-gtr-to-buy/#findComment-2908797 Share on other sites
