hey mate

you can weld or use wire tie's to hold the internal wastegate either open or closed i cant remember which one atm.. then the turbo relies on your external gate to control the boost.. it will control boost alot better aparently and will be able to run higher boost more stable

anyone correct me if im wrong please?

you wont get much answers im sorry

this topic has been covered in great detail over the years

all the good info is already on here, just do a search for it

but in short you can just weld off the ex gate exit point if you are a hack and dont want to change the manifold or you could weld up the internal gate on the turbocharger

You weld internal gate shut, depending on the turbo you might be able to buy different exhaust housing without internal gate outlet. External gate is not always the best, all depends on your application. If you are planning on running small amount of boost, i would stick with internal... otherwise go external, but make sure you get the right size.

Leave the external wastegate and just change the spring if its at 2 much boost and then weld up the internal flapper like pavel said.. you can get 10psi ext wastegate's aswell and apparently they control boost much better so i've been told... depends if you have a little turbo it'll look weird high mount..

isn't high mount for the turbos that don't fit low mount anyways?

Yes you are correct, you can get low and high mount exhaust manifolds with external gate pipe.
