Hi guys,

Couldn't find much info on this so thought id ask you more knowledgable people and hopefully we can get this sorted. without having to buy new headlights.. cause they aint cheap.

Ever since I got my car I noticed my headlights off a little to the left, well 1 was. I noticed on the back they have adjusting screws which is great so i adjusted them to bring them straight, but I could never bring them staight enough. Although I did get the alot better than they were.

But for some reason they wont adjust to go straight enough. they will not adjust higher and over the the right enough. I have a funny feeling the Adjusting screws are shot. are they inserted into a plastic thread? Are these a common problem prone to threading if they are plastic?.

Also 1 of the lights doesnt adjust properly at all. its asif one of the adjusting screws is snapped, or came out of the thread. and without taking them apart yet. thought id ask around see what can be dug up. Or if someone knows someone who can fix this ( cause im sick of tryin to fix em), ill happily pay em, provided its a realistic price.

cheers in advance.

turn the adjusting bolts more. On the r33s, you have to adjust them heaps. Like get a spanner/1/4 ratchet and turn it like a million times. have your car away from the wall about 20 m.

Look at where the light is pointing. Look away. turn it a million times. look back, it will have moved.

It just moves slowly.

PS: headlight alignment is supposed to be slightly down and slightly left to minimise glare. Theyr'e not meant to be straight.

Cheers

Yes Manwhore your right. They do adjust really slow.

I have done this. And it seems to have come to a point where it goes no further. and its still way out. They are that down and that to the left that I find im n eeding to put on me HI Beams to drive at times.

it seems that its possible, its been adjusted so much on 1 bolt, that its came off. the whole inner part of the light moves from the adjusting bolt. on 1 side. looks like i might have to rebuild em
