Honestly mate. Why would you want to?

Ive seen plenty of lines with 19 and 20s and they sit a foot off the ground even with superlow springs in it.

Unless its a show car there is no need.Spend your hard earned cash elsewhere.

My 2c

20's would surely offer a harsh ride and make tyre choice difficult? ie:Load rating ect... Maybe coilovers will offset the hight difference and harsh ride mentioned above.

What are the 20's your considering?

I am considering one of two wheels for my Series 2 33. Starcorp Impul rims in staggered set (18 or 19") x 8.5"F and 9.5"R. Or Axis Hiro's in 18 or 19" @ 9.5"F and 10.5"R. Excellent dish with both rims, hopefully 10.5" will fit under rears guards of GTS-T. Anyone have pics of a 33 with these rims on??

Both of the rims I am looking at are listed on tempetyres.com.au site.

i just fitted 19's on my 33 and i reckon 20s would rub on full lock, and possiblly bottom out on a bad pot hole. my cars with spacers and stock suspension. there 9.5 on the rears and 8.5 on the front. shit pic but hopefully can give you some kind of indication of sporting 20s. be sure to post some pics up if ya go ahead

got 20x8.5s on my r33 gts25t. you need 30 profile tyres otherwise u need to trim a susp arm to make 35 profile tyres not rub.

with the right off set, i had my guards over the rim front and rear with no rubbing.

i had front and rear guards rolled and had my front guard lining removed.

also what other consequences will this cause.

Judging by the responses in this thread (and opinions of non-car people I talk to about big rims) the biggest consequence is that passers-by are going to think you're a tool.

Aside from the ride / handling / rubbing issues already mentioned, I wonder what all that extra weight is going to do your suspension life?

i never had problems. only thing was the ride quality certainly wasnt comparable to a set of 16 x 6.5" stockies...

P.S alot of car people, several from here actually, commented positively on my 20s so i wouldnt be too worried. He has asked if they will fit, not if he should get them, or what others will think about them.

I can tell you now, 20 x 8.5" will fit with rolled guards and 30 profile tyres. just be prepared for camber wear if your susp isnt set up right and your car is lowered as you will find your tyres wear thin very quickly

thanks guys for the advice. I only asked because a friend was selling some 20" Lenso Rims and probably could have got them for about that price of 19" ( there about 2 months old)

20's would look nicer but i think i will go for some 19's just for a but of ride quality :P

Jake nice Dish :P
