nasty outcome. very sad way to end a life. no matter what car they were driving be it skyline or not, it still would have made the news, it was a bad crash, and it involved alcohol + young people.

every1 has made mistakes before in there lives, but some u just cant reverse, and have to face up to it.

like every 1 in there situations give the chance to have a look into there futures, and see the consequinces, they would never have done it.

R.I.P and hope the families and girl, friends of the deceased can cope.

drunk...

180kmh....

that's not just stupid that's almost intentional suicide. How long does it take for a stock 33 to hit 180???? She must have had her foot planted for a good 16-18 seconds and accelerated over 1/2km before reaching that speed.

It's not like this was a split second loss of control on a wet corner - this was a dedicated effort to really be a tool.

I have no sympathy for this driver and am just thankful none of my family or friends were in their path.

happens..

when I first got my license (10+ years ago).. I always used to see how fast my piece of crap car would go... I don't think it's that unusual as a part of growing up.

these guys just did it while drunk, which simply lowers your inhibitions to do these stupid things, and possibly show off to your mates. There is a lot of attention on it these days, but it has always happened since cars, licenses, and booze were invented.

Skylines/imports/V8's should be made illegal for members of the population with a blatant lack of intelligence.

lol.. but many of us *do* have a bit of intelligence - that doesn't necessarily mean we haven't done stupid shit in a car either..

It doesnt take that long at all. but please dont go out and test it who ever reads this

Mind you guys, the email the chicky sent didnt mention the female driver acually drinking, she could have just organised with her boyfriend that she'd drive home.

As to why she would drive his car at such a speed when its not hers?....Yeah pretty stupid thing to do.

Im not going to say they deserve no sympathy from me, and they deserved what they got.

Im just going to take this headline (like many other car tragedies) as a warning and a reminder to how much i take my life for granted.

How extremely lucky i am allready.

And how i will drive if i were in the similar conditions to the incident.

You know what.. this is a shit thing to have happened..

However this poor girl has to live with this the rest of her life... i would not wish that on my worst enemy...

Yes it was a stupid decision, yes it could had been avoided, but it wasnt..

As has been said earlier.. we all make stupid decisions, maybe shooting your mouth off at your bf/gf/boss about something stupid... seems like a good idea at the time, but at least you have the chance to go apologise/make things right. Maybe getting sideways in the wet and getting a little out of shape... We've all done it, you look back and go 'gee that was really dumb.. lucky there wasnt anyone coming up the other side of the road'... hindsight is a wonderful thing, we look back and learn.

We all know what our cars are capable of, and we all know what even a little dutch courage can do... The wrong decision here was to get in the car in the first place... Everything after this was a consequence of this one action.. I hope everyone learns from this.

RIP, and I hope this poor girl can go on to lead a somewhat normal life.

Perhaps the best thing to do is to cut redcliffe off of australia and let it float away.

Ever since my crash there, my brothers crash there and my fathers crash there, theres alot of hatred towards that place in my family :).

My father even calls it 'Inala By The Sea'.

But jokes aside, I can see the PR campaign on this going to cause us alot of hell. All of us who do the right thing are going to cop the brunt of this, all because some silly drunken tart got behind the wheel of he b/f's 'line and munted it.

I feel for the poor guys family and friends, but she deserves the arrest she got.

I'm not gonna pass judgment on anyone involved cos it's not helpfull and no one needs it, i'm just gonna pray that the young girl doesn't suffer anymore than she has and that the family's are strong and get through this...

I'm very sad at the loss of a life that was taken too soon.... :O

I better NOT hear about anyone from here in a story like this :D
