I was wondering, can i use an S chassis diff in my pumkin?

Like out of a 180 (200 or)silvia etc etc

or does it have to be out of a skyline

I knwo the r200 diff fits on an S chassis with the change of hte rear cover.

any ideas?

wouldnt have a clue about s series diffs but i do know the r32 gtr one fits in the stagea housing as they are identical housings (except the attessa pump mounting lugs) and only diff is the rear cover is bigger and ally on the gtr one. remember the axles will need changing to gtr ones and therefore u will need rear gtr hubs and gtr rear brakes, plus custom length axle on one side and a gts4 axle on the other side to make it work. oh and with the gtr rear hubs u will then need gtr rear shock mountings (or autech coilovers if u cant get hold of some)

i doubt the stagea axles will hack some drifting as i snapped one with 350rwhp and that was only coming onto boost when rolling along, not even a launch.

happy hunting

yer stock stagea diff i had was a single spinner and it sucked bigtime, stock gtr = goodness

rwd is fun with lsd, the stageas are great to control as they are soo long they dont get agressive when fishying down the road no matter what speeds u get to :(

i think its time to hook up my 4wd or im gonna need new tyres quick smart haha

i dont think they will work with gtr diff, not 100% sure but. get under your stagea and check the thickness of the axles and uni's and u will see what i mean about being piss weak

heres a thread i did on the diff conversion ages ago under my old username (before i got banned for bagging workshops in Perth ahahah)
