Boomerang Alarms

hey any1 get or heard anything about boomerang alarms?

whether they are as good as the ppl selling em claim?

i got a quote for 1K$ from incaroption..

how does that sound?

A Boomerang alarm came with my car, it seems to be pretty good. The remote's LCD screen is faded in parts though, and it looks too old to be fixed under warranty (not that I have a receipt anyway). I think they are about $200 to replace I'm going to try pulling it apart and re-seating the LCD screen.

I think I'd still prefer satellite tracking, but since this was free with the car and I have no spare funds for sat. tracking it'll have to do.

I did want to get this alarm put into my car, but after speaking to the installer, i changed my mind. Incaroption seem dodgey IMO, and the boomerang has only 1 imobileiser? I ended up getting my brant yesterday for the same price, feel much more relaxed.

what is the range on the boomerang? 1pt immobiliser is dodgy as.... if your out of the range then 1pt any thief can get around.

I think 3rd party tracking such as carcom or quiktrak is much better. Or jsut get a better alarm with more pts of immoblisation.

Ah ok, well I can say that Martin has nothing do to with us atm and he is a forum member like anyone else.
