About a week ago i popped my intercooler piping and when i put it back on the silicon hose felt really greasy. And a few days later the turbo seemed to stuggle a bit, feeling very sluggish. someone suggested a possibly boost leak so i thought id replace the hose. when i pulled it off i found a noticable amount of oil in the hose and piping. Now i know this isnt a good sign. one friend suggested the seal on the turbo was on its way out? mayb already blown. has this happened to anyone else? any ideas?

cheers

yeah its 15 years old dude

they get tired and old

probably 100+ on the clock ?

i think a recondition and rebuild is maybe $500

for stocker parts - nissan service interval i think is 100,000 for the stock run of the mill ball bearing turbo chargers so yours is probably past that

mines on 165,000 (r33 though) and still going, just luck of the draw and usage patterns i guess

yer its just hit 100,000... i was planning to high flow it eventually, i just dont have the money atm... will it hold out if i baby it for a while?

richo... ill let u know if i want to replace it, thanks for the offer

i had the same when i pulled my front mount off since then i've done about 2000k's and no probs yet.
