350Z-Tech has some engine bay pics of the new GT-R.

Judging by the track shots its the Nurburgring (its chasing a 997 Turbo), but this is the first time I've seen pics with the bonnet up.

Not conclusive that its a VQ35HR, but the dipstick location and the shape of the cam covers definitely looks like a VQ engine's.

nurburgring? that looks like laguna seca to me.... (corkscrew in one pic)

edit: plus I don't recall seing sand like that in nurburg. lol

Yeah, I was thinking about the general lack of light coloured sand in that part of Germany.

I just got "Nurburgring" from the 997 Turbo chase car - the only pics / videos I've seen of the two cars together have been Nordschliefe pics.

1 V8

Hmmmm It'd be a nice option if it's true. From what I've read there's going to be 3 versions of the car standard GTR, V Spec, & Evolution. These will be the answer to the 991 range. 911, 911 Turbo, & GT3.

It could be possible the Evolution will be developed to have a highly refined racing NA V8 just like the GT3 has its highly refined NA engine. But then again its Nissan, don’t really see them spending a whole heap of money to develop a V8 just for one model.
