i am currently driving a bmw e46... i am looking to do something special and am thinking of putting a skyline engine into it if possible, is it??

I guess its possible, but wouldn't that sort of be decreasing the value of your car?

my bmw was a 328i convertible that had had a complete m3 overhaul....

engine, running gear, body kit and dash are all original m3 and it has increased the value of the car significantly.

id be looking into doing something like that, an e46 is a classy car, you will f**k it up royally by throwing a nissan engine into it.

What model is it? Are we talking a 316ti or a 330Ci, coz there's a big difference from one end of the three series scale to the other. Anyways, I've seen an E36 with a 2JZGTE, so one would expect the E46 to swallow it also. 2JZ is better than RB anyways.

E46 + engine swap to another make = stupid.

E36 and earlier, because the value of the cars is lower now, I would still

look at in house BMW engines over a 20 year old nissan boat anchor.

Change of engines will just make it a bloody headache.

Best conversion I've seen in Australia is the late E36 M3 Evo motor (3.2, basically the same as the E46 motors) into an E30 325i chassis... that was farkin quick.
