Well - I guess I have one last official duty...

Congratulations to....

President - Dave Lee (Leewah)

Vice President - Chris Thomson (Scotsman)

Treasurer - Ross Brown (Purple32)

Secretary - Sarah Biggin (Sarah B)

I think this committee is great to lead the club through 2007 and beyond!

Thanks to everyone who came to cast their vote - it was an excellent meeting.

Also - a huge thanks to Ash, Paul, Pete and Kaz for your support in running for these roles. I certainly hope you will continue to support the club in positions on the general committee :P

Well...

It's been a great privilege to be President of this club - a huge thank you to all members for your support, and I hope you join me in wishing our new committee well as they take over the reins!

Congratulations to the newly appointed committee. I'm sure that you will lead the club in the right direction, help the whole club grow and improve under you lead. I am sure you will do this with ease and also do a fantastic job of doing it.

Also again another Huge thanks to those on the committee who have stepped down (James, Snowy, Adz) after doing a fantastic job I'm sure the way your roles were carried out will be a fantastic guide and inspiration for the new committee to follow as you all did a fantastic job.

Congratulations to the new committee and best of luck for the coming year.

Thanks again to the exiting committee especially James and Snowy who have did a lot to make me welcome in my early days, 2 years ago.

Best of luck to Adz, Snowy and James in the variety of things that will now dominate your spare time outside of the club :laugh:

I would like to thank James, Snowy & Adz for the MASSIVE effort they have put in over the past few years. The club would not be where it is today with out the effort of these extraordinary people. Thankyou very much guys for putting SAU Vic on the right path.

I would also like to thank everyone for putting their trust in myself and the other new committee members. We have a great team and i can only see SAU Vic becoming stronger and stronger as a club throughout the year.

I'm confident that 2007/2008 will be a bright year for SAU with the experienced leadership of Leewang and Couger and here's to attending events and doing nothing but enjoying myself :(

Thanks for all the well wishes and support over the years guys/girls it's been fun (most of the time) but all good things must come to an end.

Now....without the 100's of e-mails a week I'm free to moderate....look out Vic! :rofl:

I would like to thank the committee of the year past. The direction and events that we have all enjoyed has been from the imaginations and hard work of yourselves. Thanks again.

Congratulations to the new committee players. You guys have got of work ahead of you to keep up the tread of last year, and to continue to grow the club as well as it has in the last 12 months. I look forward to all the new ideas that is to come!

Congrats to the new committee. I'm looking forward to working with them with any SAU/WRX events. :D

My appologies for not making it, as we had a cat emergancy. (he's ok, just at the vet for a few days)

      @Vee37 How much do you really care about finding these pads again? If your pads are quiet, work well and produce minimal dust, really isn't that enough? If you are set on finding the exact pads again, I suppose I'd do something like this -  Visit your local Jax, find out what brand of pads they carry. If the Jax workshop you previously went to had the pads on the shelf, then you can almost guarantee it will be of said brand.   I'm guessing you don't have the receipt for the previous work and pads. Can you visit a Jax workshop and see if they can look up your previous job to see what pads were fitted?  Still no luck? Put your stalker hat on, find the staff that used to work at the Jax store and ask them. Talk to local workshops, try to find out where the mechanics went to. Talk to Jax workshops, maybe they relocated to another workshop. When it comes to mechanics, its a small world. You'd be surprised how easy it is to track someone down. If these ideas don't work, shit will start getting crazy very quickly.... You could find out every brand and model of pad that fits that car... and try them individually ticking each off the list if it wasn't the one you were looking for.... If you go down this path your going to want to learn how to swap pads yourself, it is very easy, takes minimal tools and space. If you have room to park the car you have room to swap the pads. Plus you have the advantage of making sure all the brake hardware goes back in so they won't squeal!

      Just putting it out there, that's a decent list. You would be better off *not* doing *any* of that and buying someone else's modded car. Like mine. Or anybody else's. Yes it's lotto dependent and all this and that but that 70K (remember, double your guesses) could go elsewhere. Keep it stock, save your money, go lowball @Dose Pipe Sutututu :p

      Does not mean what you think it means. The continual rising coefficient is the coefficient of friction that continues to rise with increasing temperature. Not "rising during a single stop", except inasmuch as the brakes should get hotter during a single stop. The RR would not be the best choice for a streeter. Yeah....no it's not. JAX would rummage around in the "shit pads we use for all shitboxen that come in here" and install those.
