The AGM has now been held and the new Executive Committee has been ushered in for 2007.

The new Executive Committee is made up of:

President - Dave Lee (Leewah)

Vice President - Chris Thomson (Scotsman)

Treasurer - Ross Brown (Purple32)

Secretary - Sarah Biggin (Sarah B)

A general committee will be made up over the next couple weeks and with their assistance, I'm sure that SAU-Vic will be in good stead for the coming year ahead.

I personally would like to take the time to thank James, Snowy and Adz for their tireless efforts over the previous years in their roles on the committee. You have served with enthusiasm and pride and for that we can't thank you enough. Condolences to Paul, Ash and Pete who missed out on my role but I believe the voting was very close. Your inputs into progressing the club will always be welcomed.

As I said last night at the AGM, this is a members club. The committee only serve as an instrument to facilitate your requests. If you have any ideas of what you would like done in the club, an event you would like to hold, a cruise you would like to do, merchandise you would like, post it up and let us know. We're always open to new ideas and suggestions.

Most of the existing committee will remain in the general committee but if you would like to join the general committee in some kind of role, please let us know. We're always looking for people to assist in various areas. If it can help us, it will help the club.

I don't intend on making any major drastic changes to the way the club is run. I believe our predecessors did a fantastic job at building a solid foundation for the club to grow on. What we, the new committee will do is build on that foundation and strengthen our ground as a car club. We intend on going out and selling the name of SAU-Vic to sponsors and gain more club awareness in the general population.

I and the new committee would like to thank you for your support by voting us in and hope we can do you all proud and lead SAU-Vic into the new year.

Cheers,

Dave.
