dangerous_daveo
I've got bilsteins (sk group buy type thing) and they are the best for the money by far. I've also got big arse sway bars, 2 way diff, and supergrippy tyres. So it turns rather good. But yeah, whatever you do DONT GET PILLOW BALL STRUT TOPS!!! They are horrible bastard things. Resin
i have a similar setup to dangerous daveo. Jic coilovers rebuilt with bilstein insertsand eibach springs. 6 k front 4 k rear. i like it ..works well on the street and track. also s13 adjustable swaybars and strut braces. also turns rather good ! hehe (tires are my weak point at the moment.) jlnewton
I also have SK group buy stuff with his Bilsteins, whiteline springs, pineapples and sway bars. Also Cusco Adj rear camber arms, cusco adj caster rods, cusco tension bar, and a Nismo front strut brace with brake cylinder stopper. For the Exhaust I have a CES split front/dump pipe (hpc coated), magnaflow 3" metal cat and kakimoto 3" cat back. The only body mod I have is a Nismo grill. It all seems to work pretty well. I can't speak highly enough of the suspension setup for road and track. salad
People say pillowball mounts are good because all the Japanese stuff comes with em. When new, they will provide a bee's dick of an improvement in handling, once worn (doesn't take long to wear) they will be knocking like crazy and be worse than bushes. Camber tops that have adjustment will do nothing on double wishbone suspension cars, the upper and lower control arms are what control the camber. My exhaust is off a GTR, so yes a 2dr exhuast will fit, I think they're a tiny bit shorter though, not enough to worry about, mine fits fine. Well I've got the GTR front bar on my car, so I'm gonna say it fits Nah, it doesn't line up perfectly with the guards, so it bulges a bit at the front, and you need a GTR reo or to cut yours up. If you want to do it all properly, you'd need GTR guards and GTR indicators. Might need headlights aswell, but I'm not too sure Edited February 26, 2007 by salad Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/157480-what-suspension-setup-body-parts-n-exhaust-do-you-use-on-your-car/#findComment-2934463 Share on other sites

Im thinking 2 get HSD HR coilovers do they have top pillow mount on them ? is the pillow can be rebuild ? 4DoorWhore
in japan... and for drift... we usually run the standard coilover... CST, KST, Blade, HKS.... they all use the same coilvers they just slap there name brands on them... for the Cefiro (S13 same) just shell out about $750 on average for a set fully adjustable blah blah... change the springrates (F:10k R:8k) and your good to go... and for exhaust... Its Dart Izumi all the way... BUT since my exhaust is half SR half Cefiro its 80mm all the way back with a DI Twin tip... and a Apex EVC flap sandwiched after the J-pipe. so basically loud flame spitting kaos... salad
Not sure what you mean by the first question Yes, HSD HRs come with pillowball/spherical bearing tops Not sure about rebuilding, but if it can be done it wont be cheap... So is HSD HR good 4 street, circuit and drift ? which model is better then ? Halo a
Is this a Vertex Kit ? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/157480-what-suspension-setup-body-parts-n-exhaust-do-you-use-on-your-car/#findComment-2937194 Share on other sites
salad
HSD HR is OK for street, seems to work well for drift, not sure about circuit. But you can get much much better than HSD, they are a cheap coilover aimed at a price bracket, so they will skimp on things to meet this bracket. Same with all cheap coilovers/shocks.
