Just got rear ended. Cars still drivable, not too damaged, no broken lights, but the boot doesn't close properly.

Anyone have any recommendations for smash repairers? preferably on the north side? I was thinking of going to Fuller brothers in belco? Anyone been to them?

Thanks for the tips

Sorry wouldn't go anywhere near Canberra Automotive refinishers, last time I went there, had to get it redone, and wasn't really happy with their work. I am going to try Belconnen auto refinishers though.

Thats crap Chris... Try Prestige in Hume very very good they did my sides after some f**ked keys had been run down them.

U must be one of the lucky ones, they did my car when it was side swiped, they buffed it so much that you can see where the paint burnt, they refused to fix it. It wasnt part of the quote, and yes they did it for free, but i wasnt expecting them to ruin the paintwork.

Let me know how it goes. I got a quote from them for $1500 to respray my front and rear bumpers.... I felt it was a bit of a rip-off but if they do a good job it might be worth it.

Thats steep, it cost me $500 in Darwin for front and back on my (stock) dark metallic blue N15 Pulsar SSS. If it can be done for that cheap in Darwin, then no one has any excuse down here since darwin is 5-10% dearer than anywhere else in oz.

It was something to do with having to buy chrome strips as the ones already on the bumpers can't be removed and replaced? I'm going take the bumpers apart myself soon and just get them repainted without getting charged for R&R

Picked up the car on Friday, can't fault them on the work, color match looks to be nearly spot on. I'd use them again, I was disappointed with their customer service though, didn't keep me up to date with delays, but I can live with that. Ended up costing 1000 to fix the rear guard dent, rhd rust patch and fit the new front bar, the rest was payed by the other party.

    • I believe there was a similar one posted by @duggyphresh. They were re-routing their battery positive cable in the way I am also trying to achieve. Sorry, I’m new to this forum, so was a bit late to the party by a few months and so reignited the old thread, as I wanted to know how they got on with doing it.
    • Wasn't there a thread on this very subject just a few weeks ago?
    • Hi all! Looking to relocate the battery to the trunk of an R34 GTT. I want to do it using as many stock GTR components as I can (including the harness protectors from the 34 GTR that run underneath along the chassis to the engine bay). So far I’ve purchased the battery tray from a 33 GTR, as the captive weld nuts are already there just asking to be used. There is also the slight issue of now having to relocate the ABS/TC/Fuel Pump Control ECU, which in GTT’s sits right above where the battery will then sit on the tray. Has anyone already achieved this, and if you have any pics that you wouldn’t mind sharing? It would be great to see how others have done it and where you put them, as there are countless holes in the parcel shelf panel to potentially use. Just trying to get some ideas bounced around, and to help uncover any potential problems I may encounter by  my choice of location. TIA for any help!
    • Brand was ard.   I also threw a brand new battery at it and beefed up the wire from the alternator to battery and added an extra earthing point from the battery
