My front rotors are warped and I have given myself 2 options.

Option 1

Bolt on a used brembo set from a BNR34

This is quite costly and I might have to deal with warped stock BNR34 rotors too.

Option 2

Aftermarket replacement rotors

For option 2, I have narrowed down my choices to the below:-

1) Dixcel HD

2) Dixcel HS

3) Project Mu Pure Plus 6 slit

4) Endless Straight 6

Are there any users/those in the know of the above here that can give comments/reviews?

Many thanks in advance. :)

SKY 34, considered it but not too sure if it will affect the FR and RR brake bias and also whether it will clear the rims.

BHDave, thanks for the input.

Howie, as below:-

1) Dixcel HD - around Y24000

2) Dixcel HS - around Y38000

3) Project Mu Pure Plus 6 slit - around Y20000

4) Endless Straight 6 - around Y42000

The above excludes shipping from Japan.

With option 2, you have missed local DBA and RDA rotors, both makes ones to suit and a fair bit cheaper than the jp import ones. Some of those prices above are more than I paid for the car

I just bot a set of Project Mu SCR's for my GTR. The front rotors were just under $700 delivered from Perfect Run. Shipping rotors from Japan is not cheap. Not on yet so I can't tell you much about how well they work.

A lot of people run DBA 4000's. UAS has them for a bit under $500 for a pair. I know several people who recommended them but have also run across a few who have had them crack after track use.

For starters it is risky and dangerous :( to machine the diameter of a disc down just to save a couple of dollars not to mention no warranty if they explode which i have seen happen.Has the rotor been cast for this to happen and to take the risk.

R34 GT rotors are 296mm front

R34GTT rotors are 310mm front

R34 GT-R rotors are 324mm front

DBA rotors are available for the Skyline range including the R34 GTT 310mm where as RDA do not do this particular disc. You can buy std 4000's rotors instead of there slotted if you want.

it was done by a very reputable brake buisness and they wouldn't have done it if they thought it was in any way dangerous. They did it so they carry any warranty issues, and it wasn't to save a couple of dollars it was to save a lot of money.

Each to there own but 6mm is alot to machine a rotor down by and yes i am in the industry.

If anyone wants the correct rotor DBA do the 310mm rotor in the DBA 4000 series.
