Cam Gears

Im looking at adjustable cam gears this week for my r33gts-t just wondering if they are a defect as im thinking of getting the custom clear cam gear cover as linked

They probably are, but i can't imagine any cop would know what they were. They'd probably get you for something else before that anyway.

Yes they would be a defect as they change the engine specs and hence 'may' effect emissions.

I agree with Mike that most police wouldn’t necessarily recognise them, but I am sure Regency would if you were sent there. (Regency's policy is "If in doubt hand a defect out")

So the best thing is not get the clear case, also iv been told adjustable cam gears can change the sound of the engine is this true.

looks sweet man, did u order the cover from psi parts from sau and this might sound stupid but did the gears change the sound of the engine iv been told it gives a bit of a wine sound????

havent got it on yet...so not sure about the sound, waiting for the clutch, then everything will be on together

um...those covers dont look to good for rb25 they just look like thin vacumm plastic not likt the 26 ones which are thick and have the proper bolt holes

Hi fellas,

I think you might have skipped over the thread and just looked at the pictures. The pictures are of a 1mm vacuum moulded plastic which is why it looks very thin and does not have any holes drilled into it. This is the first prototype we produced and the final product will be thicker and have holes for both the CAS and bolts laser cut so that it's a direct replacement. For full details as we make progress please read the thread. We are determined to work with forum members to make sure the final product is what you want, not what we want.
