51ORX
Was driving my r32 this morning sitting on about 110 and i started getting this weird beeping from the dash. (like when you open the doors with the lights on) for about 10 seconds All my gauges were reading normal. Its just made me paranoid as to what it is because ive only just bought the car ! Draconis
I assume this is connected to the rb20det ecu or is it the car as a whole? Reason I ask is I have a RB20DET that came from a 92 R32 GTST and was wondering if I should be expecting to hear it too. By the way, I swapped the engine and all that good stuff into a Gazelle. Jdfnq
pretty easy to fix.... Rip dash apart and there is a little cylinder thing connected to the speedo cable. Rip it out and no more Dings there is a thread on here about it somewhere Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/157808-do-r32s-have-speed-alert/#findComment-2975836 Share on other sites

Godzilla32
I think a good percentage of them have already annoyed the shit out of their previous owners and they have removed it. On the 32 im pretty sure the chime is mounted behind the lower part of the drivers side section of dash (near where the panel for the fuses comes off) Deren Edited July 25, 2007 by Godzilla32 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/157808-do-r32s-have-speed-alert/#findComment-3249631 Share on other sites
