Well, a the title says really. I need to know how many CCAs the batteries in the R32 GT-R's had when they were first built. Mine has a 360 but that is mostly because it was all I could get at the time & I cannot remember how many CCA the original battery had.

So I can put a light weight one in, obviously. Problem is the Odyssey dry cell type appear to be about the two hundred & something mark...

OEM battery would have been less than 360CCA, more like ~200CCA.

If cost is an issue, look at something like an AC Delco. Got a 410CCA one for $90, as small as the OEM ones in the R33s (<12kg too). Download their catalogue and you can look for an appropriate size / terminal configuration for your car.

You reckon it is that low?

Cost wasn't really the factor. Weight was. Present one is 12kg & out in front of the front wheels. If I can get back 5kg I will be well happy. As long as the car starts, that is...

Are they short enough? I had an Optima 500CCA battery but it was too tall to fit in the standard spot...

My current battery is 360CCA as well and has a little diag light inside it which has been red for a while :P, I need a new one too.

Which optima did you have?

Topaz I had/have a D51R and it fits perfectly within an R33 boot / R32 engine bay. No issues at all with clearance or modification required to fit.

The D51 series is currently unavailable in Australia however, it was pulled some time ago.
