Hey, don't worry about brakes, they only slow you down!

Come on everyone! We get very few full days at EC on a weekend, this is probably the only one all year.

How about a BBQ fatz? You can do helis afterwards on the grass :D

Duncan is right... not too many happen on a weekend at all... usually reserved for the bikes!

In fact this is THE LAST CHANCE to do a FULL DAY track day at Eastern Creek THIS YEAR!!!

I hope I get this issue with my car sorted by then.

Dan.

Count me in, a friend just bought a 300kw 200SX that does 1:50s around Eastern (Prick). Another friend may be bringing his RX7.

Ill get them to confirm with me by weeks end if they are coming. The RX7 is about 95%, the 200SX needs to convince his wife that the new car needs its legs stretched.

Ill see you on Sunday, approx time ?

Whats the prob with the car? Im still waiting for my Power Fc!

Me too :)

We might have to let down the tyres on the 200sx though!

Also, $180 is pretty cheap for 8 hours at the track.

If Derek can scrape together the coin to drive then he will be doing it on road rubber, the previous owner ran Duncan's fav tyre to get those times. Either way he will be a long way from those times until he gets to know the car and that type of speed.

Duncan you may remember the car, as it was at a Motoconcepts day last year, white, Alcon brakes, Kevlar Recaro, was hammering with you and the black Porsche in Group A. Hung out with us Nissan guys in the pits.

Dino,

Have fun... was good to know ya!!!

Brendan,

I'm always looking for some help with things... this one should pretty much run its self... the car issue is a rather loud now tapping as I boost up issue... mechanic thinks it could be a cracked piston... but suggested to get a second opinion. I'll take it to a import (skyline) specialist soon.

Interested parties:

Duncan

Kel

akira

Prank

Roy

Derek Roy's mate (needs coin)

Carlo (claims he needs breaks... but the smart money says the track bug will get him!)

Fatz (For BBQ and Heli's on the grass)

Majanal (If I get the car sorted in time)

Well that is 5 definate and 4 maybe's... tis a start... URINE... are you coming? Bonkers? and what about Gonads? OZ, haven't seen you in a while? Zane you neither?

I can't believe that it is Tuesday and we haven't got 15 people looking for a spot yet. Did I mention that this is a public holiday?

Dan,

Definitely have the need for speed and really need to dust out the high speed cobwebs but can't confirm attendance yet. I may be settling on my house on the 6th June which means I'll be moving gear around that weekend. If settlement gets pushed back then I am there with bells on ( no, not literally!! ). I'll finalise my house stuff asap and get back to you before the 19th.

As for Oz, he's still waiting on his PFC replacement so I doubt he'll want to risk getting beat by GTST's. Maybe we can provoke him out from under his rock.

Z.

    • Echo the comments about the well preserved condition it's in. It has the aero bumper too for extra points. Nice car, and please keep it like that! 🙂
    • 1. There are no real performance benefits. It sounds different, and as the pipes are not as large diameter you can claw back some undercar clearance or run lower (if that's your thing). 2. Twin pipes, offering exactly the same cross sectional area as a single pipe** will have higher pressure drop - so will not flow as well. That's because there is more surface area of wall per cross sectional pipe area, hence more frictional losses. ** But of course, it is almost impossible to get 2 pipes that are exactly the same XS area as a given typical single pipe. eg, 2x2" is not the same as 1x 3", although it is close. If the 2x pipes add up to less XS area than the single - it will just be flat out worse. If the 2x pipes add up to a bit more than the single, then it might come out as a wash. If the 2x pipes are substantially more XS area than the single, then it will probably flow a little better. 3. No. Why would there be? What have cats got to do with boost creep?*** ***But for f**ks' sake, please run a cat. 4. If you want.
    • UPDATE: was able to have the bracket repaired and base repaired, seat is like new now ;)
    • I was going to say it looks right out of Gran Turismo photoshoot when you just buy the car. (in a good way)
