yes steering IS speed sensitive (is in a GTR anyway, i assume its the same across 32s)

and the signal comes from back of speedo guage

very strange setup, speedo is cable from gearbox to guage, then changed to electric from back of guage to whereever needed

Hope This Helps

anyone know where the wire that tells the rack to go into hi ppessure mode comes from

when first did neo conversion steering very heavy

so put 12 v wire onto rack switch

works well at low speeds but doesint turn off at high speeds

very touchy to drive

There is a control unit in the boot (under the parcel shelf) for the HICAS, is this still plugged in? I think if it's not you get heavy steering all the time, also if you lose the signal from the speedo it will get heavy. I think what you've done is bypass the the control unit and feed a constant 12v to the rack all the time, it's obviously not going to vary itself.

cheers for the reply

where soes the wire come from

it must come out of the dash loom

yes i was only getting heavy power steer

witch it cool if u go fast everywhere but defently not turned off

turns out high pressue low pressure switch so

yes we applied 12 v constant to the high pressue low pressure switch

ime thinking it comes through the engin bay loom witch i now no longer have so it must plug in on the dash conector behind the kick panel

but witch wire is it

anyone got dash conector pinout maybee that would be a start

thanks in advance guys

If you've put constant power onto the rack, of course it won't turn off at any speed..

ok, ill be nice now.

Wire colours are black, and black/yellow stripe. 2 pin connector going into engine harness 2, and another 2 pin connector same wire colours going onto the solenoid connector.

these 2 wires, black is grouped in the main engine harness connected to body ground, black/yellow goes to the body harness connector and other side of that connetor to the hicas module.
