what is this switch for?? 25t head

hi

mounted at front of the intake side of the 25t head is a long hexagonal switch which screws into a oil gallery.can anyone tell me what its for, looks like a pressure switch??

Sounds like you talking about the VCT solenoid.

how does it work?,

what is its function?

I hope it switches off oil pressure?

the reason i ask is that i want to feed the vvt oil to the cam from the chamber which the solenoid screws into .

Im doing a RB30det and have had to plug the oil gallery in the base of the head as the rb30 block has a water gallery where the oil feed in is the head,i need to feed the vvt and this point would the most logical feed source.
