Sub Problems.. Help Plz

i got into my car today and noticed that my sub wasnt working properly.. Its pumping a small amount of base out but nuthin like it used to.. i check all the wire and stuff and everything seems to be connected.. does anyone know what the problem could be? is there also a function in the head unit that i mite of exedently pressed that could be causing the problem? any help would be great thanks..

kind of sub, kind of amp, kind of head unit...

so its making the same sound, but just... quieter? no distortion, no noise or anything like that, its clear, just quiet?

if you turn it up and it start singing like a speaker! if so check you filter settings on your amp
