Well i just realised at work yesterday the the demo is now out.

Downloaded it last night and played it.

FINALLY good to be back in the old days of C&C

NOD vs GDI

Deff bringing back memories! Graphics are very crisp, load times are stupidly quick! ~10sec's

Cut scenes are like they used to be (good ol Kane)

Demo weighs in @ 1.2gb but deff worth it.

Check it out!

I will second that. THE GAME IS GREAT!!! I have been a C&C fan for years and you are right it is good to have the movie cut scenes again instead of those crappy 3d cut scenes EA killed Generals and Zero Hour with. Also as an added bonus the girl from House MD is in it and that is worth buying it if nothing else is.....

New Units, New Storyline, Better Graphics etc etc. Its the style of the game play that is the same. Judging by your logic then no first person shooter is better then another one because it is basically the same gameplay. Also no car game is better because your still driving cars......

Its the new features and in this sort of game the new storyline that makes it so good. Also updated graphics is always nice.

hmm i just download the demo onto my laptop.

i played through the tut without a problem then i go to play the mission/prologo etc and it just crashes ;) anyone got any idea?

I'd put it down to just being a demo. check the requirements of the demo and compare to your laptop. For me it does freeze a bit at that point you described but it does get past it. Freezes for maybe a second if that though for me.

    • You put the driver's seat on the wrong side! Incredible detail on all of this. It looks like you could learn a lot about the car just from assembling the kit.
    • I made a mistake today. I had a spot I fixed, and used guide coat and I kept sanding until it went away and it did (sort of),  the guide coat was still there if I used wax and grease remover but was gone if I just blew the dust off. I ended up removing all of the filler and can feel a dip lol. The weird thing was I could still feel something after removing the guidecoat when the filler was there.  Is the proper way to check that all guide coat has been removed is to use the wax and grease remover or is just dusting it off fine?
    • Issues 11 - 21 Finally got around to building a growing pile of weekly issues/parts and taking some photos. I did a bit of detail painting focusing on the fuel rail and injectors... these were originally all black plastic and looked quite unrealistic compared to the other parts. Also used some Tamiya panel line accent colour to give the whole cylinder head and surrounding parts a slightly weathered 'just run in' look to it. I've been following another Japanese guy's build and he's done the same more or less.  Also got a 1/8th scale number plate set to replace the GT-R Nismo plates that came with the kit, to go together with the 'just run in' theme.
    • Quick update, finally got an hour or two on a weekend where there wasn't shit weather, no sick kids, people visiting our house or had to work. Visited me old folks and the skyline...dropped  $10 of 98 in the tank and a brand new SCA shitter battery in. Cranked over a bunch of times but didn't fire up....pretty sure it's not getting any fuel. Gonna try some of the stuff suggested above, next time I make it over there.
