Thanks boostd, 218 rwkw = 300 rwhp, there's another one. Bottom line, the last 10 to 15% really depends on how efficiently your engine uses the airflow. Because of their condition and support modifications, some engines need more airflow to make the same power.

With a turbo engine you stuff more air in, add the right amount of fuel and get big power increases, double, triple etc. Other than that, you can do lots of little efficiency improvements like equal length exhaust manifold, camshafts, lighter valves, valve springs, lighter pistons, better sealing rings, lighter rods, port heads, polish combustion chambers, balance crank etc. These don't give the one big power increase, but can add to the efficiency.
