hi, was wondering if anyone from syd would let me borrow their hand controller, as i need it to get my car tuned.

i need one suited to the old type rb25 powerfc. i only need for this weekend so i can get it all sorted. i am from glenfield but travel to the city for work and am willing to drive to pick it up if you can spare it for a few days.

You do not need the hand controller to get the pfc tuned.

Most tuners would have their own datalogit.

Unless you plan to tune it yourself via the hand controller

you do when the laptop didnt want to talk to it for some reason. we were unable to change fuel values, only ign. so i want to try with the hc

I think.. I may be wrong.. and probably am wrong lol.. but I think there are a couple different models of hand controllers for Series 1 RB25DET PFC's

i know there is one power fc with rb25 on it, and the newer one with ecr33. i dont know if there are sub divisions as well, but either way i cant find out until i get a hc and see if it talks or not.

Like Jeff said for some reason datalogit won't recognise the ignition maps so Im wanting to try a commander before a new FC. All my commanders are late model ones and dont work with his FC.

it is possible that the tuner who tuned the computer before with the apexi power fc software locked the fuel maps.

i was worried about that... the bums. anyone have any experience/ideas?

if the pfc is locked

on the hand controller display the screens for ign and inj maps come up with zero's everywhere.

if the hand controller you are using is the wrong verison

it will boot to the apexi logo and freeze

whats the problem you have?

just got some info from brad, apparently trying to access the ign maps from the laptop just keeps freezing it. something may be fu*dwith my fc methinks...

The FC IS NOT LOCKED. I have unlocked it and locked it etc but it never made any difference.

Im not new to the FC so its NOT a user issue.

When trying to access the ignition map via datalogit the laptop constant freezes, have tried several laptops and the software is the same stuff Ive been using for years. I dont have an early model comander hence why his trying to borrow one to see of I can access the ignition map via the commander and hopefully be able to finish tunning it.

Software and laptop were used on another R33 GTR straight after Jeff's without any issues at all.

I have a POWER FC with FC COMMANDER for ECR33. My car is a series 1 (1993). Model of the COMMANDER is 415-X001. Is that what you got? Is that what you need? Where is Glenfield. I am in ST CLAIR.

It's cool......Doesn't do much for me.....just sits pretty in the car... have no clue how to use it....
