Cost To Bring Car Across Aus

A friend of mine is looking to buy a second hand car. Since the range isn't that great in perth for the cars he is looking at, he was thinking of getting something from the eastern states. Does anyone have any experience doing this. We are wondering what prices and methods are available.

Surly some one knows how much it would cost. Been looking at cars in Melbourne and Syndey and don't know the best way to get them to Perth. Any ideas??
