The power output of a 3582r is just over 600hp, alot of people say they are 650hp but its not true. Garrett themselves rate the turbo as capable of 400rwkws on a 3litre engine, typically 25 and 26 30dets. Thats about 530whp or roughly 600bhp give or take 10-15hp.

Ive done one with a .63 ex housing to make it responsive, as it is a street car. Heaps of workshops said it wouldnt work. Anyhow standard motor, pfc, 550cc inj. 309rwkw 16 psi. 330ish at 18psi, havn't adjusted cam timing yet, so more to come. Nice and responsive, comes on at 3500ish, been running for over a year. I dont know about 400rwkw, unless the motor has cams, headwork etc, but 360 i recon no worries. Wont work hahaha

This turbo would be pushing sh*t uphill to do a +400RWKW, I done one a few years back with a 1.02 rear housing with a modified front, motor was built from sump to cam covers, and it produced, wait for it.

A pissy 470RWHP on 98 fuel

But to pay due when it is dserve, the turbo was on song for the most part of the rev band and nice flat torqur curve.

Disclaimer: I donot claim to be the great car mods, or have absolute knowledge of everything mechanical. The results are from personal experiences and may not be reduplicate at a later date or by 3rd party

HAHA

Todd wilkes Gicottoll omade 1200 rwhp with two of these on 18psi, but he had a full house 5.8 spinning them with a modified 1.06 ex housing.(The engine flowed soo well that the car was going over 15psi horsepower heroes limit with both 50mm exwastegates valves removed, thats why we machined out the ex housings)

Ye, you'll be pushing the limits for 400rwkw i reckon using PULP.

Thats firmly in the t04z territory of the 400-440rwkw marker.

A GT35 would sit around the 340-380 mark comfortably with good response.

Depends on the motor and all things associated of course as to which end the number will sit etc etc

one rb25 i did made 456 rwhp -335rwkw @25psi on 98 octane pulp fuel

it was a stock rb25 with tomei poncams and splitfire coilpacks.

that was with 1.06 rear, it hit full boost at 4500rpm and was very street unfriendly.

the .82 rear would be sweet

There's a few here in SA that have basically just been bolted on.

It appears ~20psi makes a shade over 300rwkw.

I'd assume the difference between 20psi making 340-380rwkw and 20psi making a shade over 300rwkw is nice exhaust manifolds, plenums and a decent set of cams.

well im hoping for 400 in ours with the gt3582r...had 370 before with the gt30..so another 30 kws shouldnt be too far outta reach with this new motor. I reckon its possible. I guess time will tell though. However it will be definetely right on the limit, thats for sure.

370rwkw from a GT30... on PULP?

If so what boost levels/setup were you running to achive that? Must have been a fair lean on it either way.

Everyone else here with a GT30 gets around the 300rwkw with 18-20psi.

To add another 70rwkw is to put it... a fark load more :O

I was 24psi on 104 octane and made 369rwkw. The fuel made the difference there however.

Would not have come close on PULP. 330rwkw max with some ~23-25psi based on what we saw which slots perfectly into other peoples results such as bigcarl and a few others of late

r31nismoid if you followed the rb30 thread a little more you may have noticed it around there abit. Ive spoken about it several times and so have others.

In our racecar we run a 25/30det with a fair bit done to it. Head has a slight port n polish same as everyone else normally, tomei 256 poncams, 6boost mani, greddy mani, 850cc sards, powerfc, the gt30 .82 with a 3" zorst, no muffles cat, just straight through, 48mm progate, ati dampener, 8.3:1 comp, acl mls hg, water/meth injection, 8krpm.

On shell 100 pulp on 19psi (i think 1.3bar) we made 370rwkws and 385rwkws on 22psi 1.5bar..knock was too high though so we kept it at the 370. The water/meth injection added an extra 50kws, a heap more timing was added for the extra power. Before the water/meth we were only at 320rwkws on 17 or 18psi cant recall now.

Cheers :O

I thought it wouldnt have just been PULP alone. Good results thats for sure.

It would help others if you stated that each time you quote the power figure too (would have stopped me asking hehe)

Like i do with mine if it was PULP/104/whatever etc

I dont remember all threads, all posts mate. I read a lot of stuff each week

RB30 thread, im only upto page 60 or so at the moment... another 200 to go (im cleaning it up)

my apologies mate...its abit annoying having to state everything everytime....so i just try to cut to the chase. But with something like that in this circumstance i prob should state those things which might keep people wondering as to how that power was achieved.

    • Hi everyone, just looking to see what's available in the GTR seat options, testing the waters on what's available. Wanting a driver's seat to replace my old school OG jap race seat, going to re-register the car so need a factory seat. Prices currently seem to go from $300 to $2k for a driver's seat. What's options are there, that's good condition and actually a realistic price? Located Brisbane. Thanks
    • Are these a plug and play setup, and do they need a tune, like a haltech ecu etc? Thanks
    • Nice work on the paint. Those 3 studs are long as.
    • Hi everyone, still chasing a bunch of this stuff. Thanks
    • Been over 2 months since I have done anything on the S15 and had a day off today so got stuck into mounting the radiator and intercooler. I ended up using factory bottom mounts as bolted in and I did order some gktech top brackets but didn't work with the PWR radiator so made up some with aluminium flat bar. Spent way to long on them but pretty happy how they are. Next job was the intercooler. Used some more aluminium flat bar and did the bottom mounts first. Top was easy as just one long piece and 2 90 degree coming off rad support and welded them on. The bumper support required some notching to let the outlets sit where I want so will add some reinforcement later to strengthen it. I have also bought ecu and waiting for it to arrive. Went with a Link g4x Xtreme but will be adding a ptmotorsport expander to add a few extra inputs over CAN. Went through a few different configurations on pclink to get what I want to allow future expansion for sensors and gearbox upgrades. Ordered gktech rear arms but looking at the hardrace lower control arms to have some extra adjustment too will see how the alignment looks after first setup. Got 2 more weeks of work before shut down and will have almost 4 weeks to work on this so planning on hopefully firing up mid January.   Also bought a 2015 brz with a heap of good gear, did noosa hill climb a month back. Owned it for 3 days changed alignment and sent it. Finished the weekend 2nd in class and only .3 off the 180sx best time last year. MCA Red coilovers, gktech rear lca, bolt on lock kit and tie rods, whiteline toe arms, cusco 1.5way diff and 4.5 ratio, endless brake pads, headers, exhaust, perrin intake and e85 tune. Electronic steering adjustment, nankang crs with koya wheels 17x9 +35. Have bought rear traction arm and relocation kit, extended studs and v3 tie rod kit. Planning on also getting flex tune as lucky to get 300km a tank with e85 and short ratio. Car is a heap of fun to drive and super easy to work on. AC in the line up at Noosa was mint in 35degree weather.
