25-30 will get you a lot of skyline, check out the FS section on this site, it is really up to you...........you can get R32 GTR's, R33 Gtsts with mods, and maybe the odd desperate to sell R34GTT.

I'd think in another way, 25-30 will get you 250-300kw at the wheels = $100/kw. Lot of power for a guy coming off P's, i'd probably look for a 240kw unit and save some $$$ for head units, gauges, zorsts, tyres, bling and insurance etc.

hmm yesss insurance would be a major factor limiting your choices.

you just have to sit down and think about what you want. then look for the car that suits your needs. rwd? awd? single or big twins? supercharge even? want all show or all go or bit of both?

frankly, your question's a bit broad / vague mate. best car... for what? in terms of what? :(

deriq.

You could easily get a R34 25GT-t for that amount of money, R33 GTST's will be around 11 - 16k, R32 GTR's 19k+ & you ca nget R33 GT-R's for high 20's low 30's. But be sure to factor in registration, insurance tyres and such.

go the r33 - 40th anniversary....then u will have something like 7-10 grand on mods etc. But r33's are common....so maybe try the r34 gtt in manual?

remember to factor in upkeep and maintenence costs as welll as insurance etc... i got myself a 32 gts-t but need to sell it now as ive realised at 22 and while still at uni i could afford to buy the car but cant afford to keep it and save for a house/holiday..

    • 50L plastic butcher's bins with or w/o lids are good for storing various parts and smaller boxes of part on shelves. I've taken to writing a manifest on blank paper in texta and sticking it on the front of any such box, whether it is that sort of tub or just a cardboard box. Ditto to smaller boxes inside. I can not give you ideas on how to be more ruthless or better organised than that, because I suspect that my shed is worse than yours.
    • i have 2 MTX thunder amps they do have the line input aswell but i have no idea where the connectors are to use. so for ease of being able to run 2 sets of RCA leads im just using the convertor.
    • The existing factory sub feed should already have a sum of L+R and a low pass filter, so it probably isn't necessary to take another L and R feed from the HU.  If it didn't have a factory sub output, then that would be the best option though. Does your new amp not have speaker level inputs?  that would eliminate the need for the speaker - line level converter completely.
