Hi guys

I've noticed a number of new joiners to SAU only joining for posting parts and things for sale.

Maybe we can have a minimum post count before you can sell items.

A more complicated way (OzHonda) is to have 'rep' points so that only people who are useful and contribute can post. This needs to be administered by Admins though, and I don't think it is logistically feasible.

Its a case of buyer beware.

There has always been a lot of people only reg'ing to use the For Sale.

If the buyer is careful and smart. Then there really is very little risk.

We probably ban one or two accounts a week that we find out are dodgy traders/businesses etc. So we are onto it as best we can

agreed i think a post count thing would be good, except, that will just cause people that want to sell there parts posting it in the wrong section.

post count is not a good idea. it just encourages people to post whore

This kinda question pops up every 6 months or so and its really a case of damned if you do, damned if you dont unfortunately
