the overnight stay and second day went great! fair bit or roadworks the other side of Lavers Hill, but fun day all the same! We tried to go to the Cape Otway Lighthouse....but with an entry fee of $12.50 each, we decided to give that the flick! Stopped at the Apostles for some photos etc... then Lunch in Port Campbell, back through Colac & Geelong.

thanks to everyone involved with organising the event....once again an awesome job. I didnt take many photo's, but heaps of people were...so keep watching this thread.

thanks again...3rd year in a row ive done the 2 day cruise, will be back next year again for sure!

that was Sam Newmans Lambo.

Sam's is yellow unless he has changed it in the past couple of months. I used to see him some mornings getting coffee from the same place as me in Brighton before work :)

Just want to say well done to Paul and a great event to sign off with. I had a lot of fun and managed to run the fuel tank very close to empty. I may just have made that second BP servo but putting 39.5 litres in and the needle on the bottom was close!

Had an awesome time and met lots of new people.

My question to any attendees of this who don't attend other events regularly, what can Mav and I do as Event Co-ordinators to entice you to come to more events throughout the year? This traditionally has an excellent turn out which we would be keen to repeat for other events.

:)

hey all

thanks to everyone who came and help organise the event. good fun was had by all some very funny and enjoyable moments. great bunch of people and everyone was well behaved during the days and at nights. this was my last official event for sau vic so now its over to matt and al to lead the way. thanks to all those who attended for the day, night and second day activities. looking forward to more photos and highlights from other people's cameras. lots of new faces this year which was fantastic, really good turnout. always good to meet the new members of the club, welcome aboard and enjoy your stay. every year we make more and more friends throughout the club and thats one the key components of sau, great people and great cars.

    • Realised I never posted this , also I never got a price
    • I'm glad to hear you've joined the SKI club. Spend the Kids Inheritance.
    • I have a VALCON if anyone wants it, I have no idea why you'd want to have VVT specifically broken out of the ECU as opposed to running it off the FCON/whatever standalone you have.
    • Hi Yes we're a bit optimistic we might get something out of sealing up the two pipes of the external wastegate and reactivating the stock one. I believe the orginal stock wastegate was tack welded shut. It doesn't budge and visually looks closed and sealed. The car has noticeably more lag so it could be at least part of the problem, maybe all. It's definately one of the key changes made since last tune. And it's one that's more difficult to fully understand and measure, not like for instance timing or cylinder compression.  Thanks for that feedback, we'll let you know how this progresses. Fingers crossed.   Regards Rob
