Coilovers

Hi all, I am soon taking my car for a rego inspection. I was wondering if coilovers are ok, or do you need an engineers certificate? Also who would you reccommend for the inspection? thanks.

Nowadays coilovers do need an engineer's certificate.

It might even be anything that makes the suspension adjustible

i had no drama's with coil overs but that was 3 yrs ago

I passed 2 months ago with them but a mate who went over dickson 3 weeks ago was failed on them. the key is either engineers cert or ADR approved coilovers, they cant knock you back on either of those and if they do challenge it!

I just heard from a mate of mine that Dickson is now requiring an engineer’s certificate for any form of Pedders suspension. The Pedders brand name has had to many bad instances with the Dickson pits so now any form of Pedders suspension needs an engineers, even basic lowered springs and heavy duty shocks.
