that's the front steering rack though right, not the hicas (rear) rack?

any extra lines that would normall go to the rear steering rack can just be removed, and plugged. :)

That's the front rack - where the banjos are on the right are where the normal power steering lines would go in.

Do they NEED to be bunged? I've heard that it may make the steering heavy without them bunged.... I don't see the theory though unless it's leaking something.

They shouldn't need to be plugged up. Front and rear steering are completely seperate except for a common resevoir.

I do remember that there are no lines going from the front rack to the hicas rack though. Are you sure it's an R32 rack? I've got a feeling that it's S13 as they had a junction (completely seperate) on the rack, but it's been a while since I locked S13 hicas.

I got an answer I need to plug it in my build thread.

What you're saying is that those 2 are the ones that lead to the rear and so they're totally seperate to the ones coming in from the PS pump/reservoir?

Cheers

There are ZERO, NONE, NOT ANY connections on the front power steering rack that go to the rear. They have NOTHING to do with the HICAS. The HICAS and the NON HICAS front power steering racks are exactly the same.

:( cheers :O

Ok thanks that clears that up.

In that case what the hell are those holes for?

Thanks guys.

Turns out it was a non-issue. When I bought my rack I didn't realise I got that part seperately, so when I found it I put it on just to be safe. It's not hooked up to anything though :\

It's in now :P
