Rb25det Boost Problem

g'day all,

Im having trouble with my parents Series 1 R33 GTS-T (Automatic)

Problem:

* car spluters and surges (really really bad) at the first sign of boost pressure, the turbo starts fluttering or the blow-off valve starts going off when i try to boost it... like i have backed off but iv still got my foot on the accelerator.

* also it idles funny at times, and drops in revs when put in neutral.

Things i have done:

* checked all intercooler piping/ clamps (as it seem to be the same problem i had with my GTR)

* checked all vaccume hoses

* checked wiring plugs

* new spark plugs

* new coil-packs

it seems to be a vaccume/boost problem.

it started doing it after i did a service on it.. so natrually i went back over everthing i moved and checked it all.

also i removed a manual boost controller...maybe i have a hose in the wrong spot or missing somewhere?

any help needed .A.S.A.P.

sounds very much like intercooler pipework leaking somewhere

try ecu reset just in case and then look for more leaks

do you hear any hissing in the engine bay at idle

also check the aac idle valve

run your hands around the hoses and sqeeze them

one at a time, see if anything changes
