hmm pool of water eh? lol. sounds like he lost it in the wet. that wont be cheap to fix  pretty ugly car arnt they

Looks a lot different than on Top Gear. They looked superb on the show :) That picture has swayed me, looks feral there.

Kinda doesnt help when the front end is ruined though!! Gonna cost some big dollars to fix anything on those!!

Does anyone know what tyres these things run?? Apparently they last for 15 minutes at a constant 407km/hr. Wonder what they are worth a set!!!

"To safely and reliably accelerate to 400km/h, the Veyron makes use of custom-designed Michelin tyres, which utilise what has termed the Pax system. The tyres are capable of dealing with the stress of 400km/h speeds, and they also have a special pressure monitoring system and run-flat capability, so that even in the event of a high-speed puncture, things won't go all pear shaped."

And im almost positive they will give up after 50 minutes at 400km/h not 15 minutes...

What sort of tool drives a 1000hp car in the rain? Just a shame he didnt remove himself from the gene pool.

Yeah, because all 1000hp cars have all their power from 700rpm...

It's called a throttle, it has more than "on" and "off" settings you know?

i don't want to sound like a spoil sport, but a crashed veyron doesn't bother me in the slightest way for a couple of reasons:

1. in my opinion, the veyron is a try-hard attempt by bugatti to make the biggest and the best. quad turbo W16, what the hell for? the koeneggsig ccx weighs nearly half as much and probably has similiar performance as a result.

2. the veyron is far too clinical for my tastes. i look at a mclaren and i see passion, emotion. same with an enzo. i look at the veyron and i see white coats, calculators and pens.

3. how would you feel in a veyron when LEEWAH or GTR-800 pull up at the lights and actually manage to keep up? not very happy(unless you are in the GT-R! LOL)

    • 50L plastic butcher's bins with or w/o lids are good for storing various parts and smaller boxes of part on shelves. I've taken to writing a manifest on blank paper in texta and sticking it on the front of any such box, whether it is that sort of tub or just a cardboard box. Ditto to smaller boxes inside. I can not give you ideas on how to be more ruthless or better organised than that, because I suspect that my shed is worse than yours.
    • i have 2 MTX thunder amps they do have the line input aswell but i have no idea where the connectors are to use. so for ease of being able to run 2 sets of RCA leads im just using the convertor.
    • The existing factory sub feed should already have a sum of L+R and a low pass filter, so it probably isn't necessary to take another L and R feed from the HU.  If it didn't have a factory sub output, then that would be the best option though. Does your new amp not have speaker level inputs?  that would eliminate the need for the speaker - line level converter completely.
