i got a similar problem,

what about getting on the inside of the plastic?? i seem to have foggyness or some kind of moisture build up on the inside. how do ya go about taking the plastic light cover off??? i noticed 2 little metal clips but unsure if they come off easily or at all?

Does anyone acctually know why they fog up or go yellow?

From my understanding, the headlights are made from glass-extracts with some degree of plastic in them... with plastics, heat and moisture creates the foggy-look... mine used to be like this too... but I found a good solution... you will need 3 things...

1) a nice soft scratch-free cleaning cloth x2

2) a bottle of PLASTIX (Macquire's, I think - around $19 at Autobarn)

3) A bucket of really hot water mixed with some washing detergent (with a brush)

Now here's what you do... first of all, take the car for a good wash so that the headlight covers are wet enough to be cleaned.... then, using some brush dip it into the hot water with detergent and begin to wash the headlights with some degree of force... rub in a circular motion...

After doing so, let it dry for around 15 minutes... then use the cleaning cloth with small doses of the PLASTIX plastic lotion and rub hard... I would spend around 10 minutes or more on each light.... just keep doing it until you see it light up like a candle... LOL.... repeat, repeat the above steps then once you finish, get a clean new cloth and clean off the PLASTIX lotion... then stand back and be amazed!!!

That's it... you should do this once every 3-4 months...then your headlights will always look like they are brand new!!

Good luck,
