Plugs are under the coilpacks, which are under the valley-cover (plastic with the Nissan bit printed on it).

You need to take off the intake crossover pipe, unbolt the black metal pipes next to that, BOV, rocker breather pipe, etc etc... Once you have clear access to that cover, undo the 10 bolts (allen key), and you'll see your coilpacks.

Unplug each coilpack. Metal clip like [ holds the plug onto the pack. Un-twist the metal harness clips so you can pull the whole wiring harness out of the way. (out of the valley completely)

Now, you can either undo each coilpack (2 bolts each) out of the coilpack bracket, or remove the coilpack bracket with all the packs still in it. The 2nd way might be harder, as the coilpacks are fairly clicked onto the spark plugs.

Get some compressed air, or an air compressor, then blow all down the valley. Get rid of all the dirt and crud around before you undo the spark plugs. (use proper spark-plug socket) Once they're out, you dont' want stuff going down the hole into the cylinder, so do one plug at a time. Old out, new in, old out, new in... 6 times eh? =-]

Standard gap is 1.1, from memory? 0.8mm is used when people have problems with coilpacks, or run so much boost that the air blows the spark out before it can make contact with the tip of it. Up to you and what you call "stage 1" I spose?

Good time to clean the coilpacks too... Pull the rubber boots off, clean and stretch the springs out a bit if some are shorter than others. Check for missing paint or cracks in the pack.

Reassemble. I guess you know how to put spark plugs back in, and how tight to do them up. ;o)

just did mine AGAIN.........today - due to missfiring problem.......good luck mate, its not fun, coil packs have 7 - 12m bolts holding them ontop of the sprak plugs, undo these and pull them up......get your spark plug socket and undo them, generally spark plugs are 1.1mm gapped, dont reduce this as sometimes u may get less spark.

put them in, spray your coilpacks with some contact cleaner (dries hell quick) and put em on, bolt them down, and put your shit back together

its not fun i tells ya

^^ tell me about it..

Esp getting the last three spark plugs out without gettin getting the piping over the top off.. lol..

BCPR7ES

I run NGK BCPR6ES in RB25's gaped at 0.8 mm

NGK BCPR6ES come in 1.1 mm gap (BCPR6ES – 11) and in 0.8 mm gap (BCPR6ES – 8)

Standard boost = BCPR6ES – 11

12 psi = BCPR6ES – 8

Up to 19 psi = BCPR7ES – 8

Over 19 psi = BCPR7ES – 6

^^ this might help you!! (NGK coppers)

mine are PFR6G-11............NGK platinums, like the saying goes, platinum plugs for a platinum slider, LMAO clearly not, just making sure i get good ones, $124.70 later for all 6,

however the ones i took out were race plugs, insane as well, so im getting them ordered in as noone stocks them, and putting race plugs back in

Another DIY thread i just happenned to get a copy of and keep.....reformatted into a WORD doco for easy printing.

Exactly the same as what was in the original Spark Plug thread all those years ago now.

You can pay me later... :ninja:

    • It only looks tidy, as most of the stuff that was on the whole back wall, is now in the trailer to go to the tip, or has been shoved in my 2.2x2.4m "Spare parts room", and now I can't get to anything in there Ha ha ha I could definitely do with a bit more space, but I'd just end up with your problems I'm going to enclose the car port beside the garage, and move a lot of stuff into it I think. OR... It will be setup as a fabrication area, and the main garage will have parts storage in it. I'm not sure yet... Need some pictures of that big shed you've got with the bikes and Skyline in
    • No. I think it's gone. 😭 I think you can get body coloured ones on eBay so I think I'll get one of those... Or just hang a red ribbon from the hole and whack a TOW sticker next to it.
    • Can't say I've had a bad experience with one on my car, then again it only gets washed once or twice a year... The wheels on the other hand, get a good spray often due to my shitty dusty pads.
    • @MBS206 thats pretty neat and tidy to me!  I'll get a photo of mine when I'm out there next. It might require multiple photos to understand the scale of the atrocities though... In total I have 4 sheds of varying sizes and layouts. Main shed is 14x8, second shed is 3x8, third shed is 11x2.5, fourth shed is around 6x4.  All are pretty much full.   The main goal of my cleaning tsunami is to make the main shed predominantly car and motorbikes only. Second shed is my metal fab room (2 x bench grinders, drill press, bench belt sander, metal band saw, scrap metal storage and some of my garden tools.  3rd shed is more bigger garden stuff, storage for engine crane, jack stands, concrete grinder, concrete mixer, air compressor lives there, and it now has two 2mx2m pallet racking shelves with itemised boxes holding building stuff, electrical stuff, plumbing stuff, etc, etc.  The 4th shed is Ryobi electric ride on mower, mini boom sprayer, ancient Kubota tractor, more garden stuff!  I have got a lot of shit....  Then there's the pool house (8mx4m) and the pool pump shed (4mx4m).  I built all of the sheds over the 11 years we've been here.  The main shed was a Ranbuild kit, the rest are all custom made to fit the areas available. Building the main shed taught me a LOT as I had no idea about building anything prior to that!  I've still got one more in me. It will be my man cave which I poured the extra concrete for way back when I poured the concrete for the main shed. The idea is the Skyline will be a centre piece of the main cave once (if...) it's finished.  I told my now 14 year old son yesterday that I will 100% drive him to his year 10 formal in 2 years. Still a long way off but at least I now have a date to work towards! 🤣
    • Modern oils are amazing. Add tyres to that as well.
