i don't know how accurate that site will be though. all it will tell you is how many k's the car had done when it was last registered. the car doesn't have a little transmitter in it that tells them exactly how many k's it has done.

example: if i own a car from new, department of transport has no way of knowing exactly how many k's i've done. however should i sell the car the amount of k's gets put on the transfer paper. thats how they find out. so should i wind the car back 50,000ks, they have no way of knowing i did.

we are talking about from japan, Not here in qld. This Vcheck is great but only for qld?. Be great to know exactly what the cars had prior to leaving japan, and Not the Importers report, as they also seem to be in on it. I dont believe they are all dodgy. be nice to know who is and who isnt though :)

THe chances are the car was turned back in japan unless you knew the original owner...

A site like V-check is good for catching them out mostly if the k's were turned back after landing in Aus because the compliance papers etc would have the K's it left Japan with.

And Digital speedos can also be turned back.
