How good is 3rd gear?

Isn't 3rd gear just the best?

Not sure about the turbos but on the N/A the speedo needle lines up with the tacho and it pulls nice from 40-140.

yeah i love 3rd gear too... you can be on a 60 - 70 zone and just leave it in that gear, while you eat hungry smacks or maccas with a chips and drink.

my 3rd gear doesnt pull as hard ompared to the other gears....so i dont like it that much. luv my second and 4th though and a bag of chips.

2nd iz good, az nark said! Not as much slammage going on by the time you're going for third [+ I miss the darn thing half the time]. This may be my downfall at the drags will have to wait and see...is it just me or does your cars gearbox get tighter when you are driving hard? I find third gear needs to forced a bit - but only at high load / revs? hmmm

3rd has the best range though from 25 / 30 all the way up to 150+ in mine [on the track that is].

otherwise normally it just slots in

and yeah 3rd is a bitch to get in when flooring it

i always get huge gear crunch when i take off at the lights

very embarrasing

well i like 5th gear the most, COS THAT'S THE F*CKEN ONE I'M IN THE MOST!!!! (5th @ 60 so the car isn't too stressed)

EDIT: i find that 2nd does not like to change smoothly after reving 1st a bit. But going to 3rd and 4th i can change real quick.

But then again i have a TOTALLY different car to u guys.
