Hey,

Im getting closer and closer to getting my p's (hopefully)

and i want to have had as much experience as i can before i do.

I was woundering if any ones knows of some good driving courses to do (around the gold coast area). I dont just want to do one i would like to do them all eg. Adv driving course, Defensive driving course. What other courses can be done?

So if you know of any good ones around the Gold coast info would be great.

Oh i also want to do a course with skidpan available.

Cheers.!

I'm not sure of the best courses in QLD, but I'll guarantee that spending money on driving courses will get you going faster than the same money on mods....

Most driver training places offer:

Stage 1 - skidpan style braking, oversteer, understeer etc day - great place for a new driver to start

Stage 2 - high speed side of same, usually on a track

Stage 3 - CAMS race license training, full on racing lines, high speed braking and a race at the end of the day

Do a stage 1 style course, about $350-500 as soon as you can, then find out what courses they offer after that.

Check the Yellow Pages. Check with CAMS (www.cams.com.au) or a Car Club. Join a car club (listed on the CAMS site), and get out on a racetrack.

The John Bowe course is supposed to be good, but not sure if they operate in Bris / GC. Most similar schools will require you to do the defensive course before you can progress to the advanced then high speed courses.
