Hi All,

I'm about to bring in a V35 Coupe without a broker, and a lot of people have said too me, make sure you get a good complaincer.

So, to those in the game, what do we need to look out for during the compliance process. Is there any specific things that these guys take short cuts on? What can go wrong? What do we need to make sure we look at/do?

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Bobby

I would probably say upfront for any SEVS car, it's crucial you pick a RAW before you purchase the car. I imported an FTO last year, and even though there were several RAWS-accredited workshops around, I almost had trouble finding one who would comply it (most were only doing bulk quantities for car yards)

- make sure the RAWS can comply your car, is willing to, and has plates available (you may have to put down a deposit)

- if you know there are modifications on the car, discuss them upfront. Surprises can be costly.

- for something like the V35, I'd discuss the xenon lights issue with them

- keep in touch regarding the expected arrival date of the car

Have you picked a RAW yet?

Thanks Mate,

I have a few more to speak too but have all but decided.

The good thing about the V35's is that there not coming in in massive numbers, so everyone who I've spoken to is willing to do the work.

Yes Xenon's are a big sticking point for me. There's a couple of suggestions in another thread, that i started about the V35, so fingers crossed, there should be a way to hang onto them.
