If you plan to tune it and leave it you can't go past Dr Drift stock ECU re-map. My car is re-mapped and I could not be happier. Very cost efficient. R32 $700. Silvia about $1000 that includes dyno time and tuning of course.

Note: can only be done to silvia's and R32.

If R33 need a power FC

I see you have R33..??

My pick is power FC, if unable to source one nowdays Haltech now make awesome plug in ECU's.

If budget and manhours are no object of course MOTEC is the only way to go.

motec is definately the best... microtec and wolf 3d arent so great.

motec doesnt use AFM though.

uses tps and map sensors i think, so there is a bit of work to get it going, but the most rewards in the long run

Not a fan of Microtec myself, and I ran a Wolf3D V4 in my rotary - wasn't impressed.

If you don't want to spend a fortune, I'd recommend going for an Apexi Power FC, however be quick as Apexi just went broke so they will probably be thin on the ground in no time.

power fc if you can get your hands on one... wouldnt the dr drift re-map with standard ecu not really be up to par with such a highly modified vehcle, big turbo external gate, big injectors.....the standard ecu's never meant for that, you wouldnt think a chip would help it out that much

Mate, do your homework before you go giving advice. Dr Drift certainly do R33 ECU's... I just had mine done... $1200...

A mail order remap would probably not be ideal, but a factory ECU tuned in real time on the dyno with factory knock feedback is IMO by far a better option than PFC... Can easily take into consideration cams turbo injector and afm upgrades...

:) And how well is yours running for such little dyno time? It was around 1.5 hours all up yeah? When are we fitting the rest of the bits? I can't wait to 'advertise' the potential of the factory ecu on the 33's a little more...

We've nearly finished our own R33 build project, looking for 300+ rwkw daily driver on pump fuel, with stock ecu... just something interesting for the missus to do the shopping in :(

Nothing wrong with microtec unless you have a retard tuning it. the early model microtecs arnt the best i agree and they are very limited in features/inputs etc but if you have a great tuner like i do (UAS - free plug haha) you can make anything work well. Probly the best microtec is the LT12s. Great for variable cam timing aswell apparently. If you want over kill and have deep pockets go for motec but i dont see what all the fuss is about...so what if its got bells and whistles..will you ever use them?

Ive heard only good things about autronic aswell
