Not sure about which area this should go in but what the hell.

I'm looking to buy an R33 off carsales that was a bit of a unit but has been involved in a rear ender.

Just wondering if any one has had similar repairs done to their car and if so how much am i looking at. Curious to find out about labour, painting and chassis damage.

I had a similar shunt in a vs commodore that cost $4000 and they are cheap as chips regarding parts

I've seen parts to fix this around the site for around 1200 such as rear cut, boot lid, rear bar etc.

The owner reckons it should cost around 5000 to fix.post-2073-1173271897.jpg

This is the only pic i can find and am not willing to travel to queensland untill i know whether it is worth the hassle.

Any help appreciated

Is it an actual GTR or has it just been badged?

Depends if you're doing the work yourself or if you're giving it to a smashie... Doing yourself you could probably do it in under 5k if it's a GTS-T... GTR a fair bit more probably because of the cost of the rear quarters..

Also it looks a bit light to be Midnight Purple.. If it's a custom colour you might need to respray the whole car as making a nice looking match might be difficult

It ain't a GTR, the skyline plastic between the lights is clear, GTR's are solid and colour coded, in the 33 GTR's had rear wing not a lip, plus the rear gaurds aren't flared. The left is a dead give away which has minor damage.

May I suggest you get your hands on a copy of Nissan fast, it has crash estimate calc and will tell you what parts are required. This will give you a rough idea on cost.

Good Luck m8 :ninja:

all that power and it gets hit up the ass... probably for the best to be honest...

It'd be more inclined to believe that he lost it and went ass-end into a ditch or something...

a gtst with a badge... it's probably why it got rear ended

ROFL... Kamikaze stylez you think aye Marsss? :)

I wouldn't touch it

It's had a solid rear hit. Most likely bent chassis (not hard to do in a skyline it seems though)

To replace the rear isa "cut and shut" job.

Plus everything else.

The whole under body seems worked up badly.

Seriously, avoid it.

Owner said it was lost in the wet.

They are GTR panels on a gtst and its a custom paint so unless the guy has any lying around to blend i doubt i could get the right solour again. Didn't think about custom paint or gtr panel costs i guess i'll stay away. Looks like it used to be quite a tank.

Thanks for the advice guys
