go to this post This one and look at the second last video (the 7mb one)

towards the end of it you will see the two GTRs pulling out of the last corner on to the straight. the R34 has GTSS's and the R32 has a T04Z (Some of you will know Dave and his car)...to me the response is pretty similar but the T04Z car walks away in the top end

Im looking to get into tracking down the road a bit(no pun intended) and I still want a streetable car. 400 HP is a fairly easily achieveable number and it should give me enough power to stand out on the street and still be competitive. I also picked 400 HP as a number because if I didnt id start chasing big numbers like shane is, and my wallet would quickly disappear.

Im sending you a PM now shane.

Slide turbos would be good but I think the wait on them is about 2 months at this stage? Also there only rated to 300 kw so I would be close to maxing them out, unless that was 300 kw per turbo.

Shane, more info on the GT SS man?

The current wait is only 3 weeks on the RB26 highflows.

GTRgeoff is making 316rwkw at just under 1 bar with 3psi to go and a little head room.

I rate them at a mild 300rwkw to avoid dissapointment and confusion if someones engine is not up to scratch.

17psi on an unopened engine will yield up to 330-340rwkw on a GTR with our highflows.

With camshafts, will break 340-350rwkw. :P

  • 2 months later...

You got everything else sorted ? full sway bars, shocks, springs, camber, caster, oil cooler, baffled sump, semi-slicks? etc.. You will get faster bang for buck doing all these things first... The power will be fun, but you're also risking an engine and/or gearbox rebuild.

just to reiterate what gordon said - supporting mods are a must... many seem to lose sight of this and wonder why they're forking out more money after they've rebuilt their motor.
