Steering Trouble

hey guys having abit of trouble with my steering, sometimes its very light and perfectly fine but whilst driving all of a sudden the steering wheel will stiffen up quite alot then after a while it goes back to normal. Also whilst drving the hicas light comes on sometimes, now im not 100% sure what exactly hicas is or does so any help would b great.

do a search on hicas and u will find thousands of posts

but to keep it short, HICAS is the 4 wheel steering skylines have that turn the rear wheels at 1 degree if your going over 80kph i think around a bend

many people just use a hicas lock bar to get rid of it as either 1) they dont like it as they race/drift 2) cheaper to lock it sometimes than to troubleshoot the problem

not 100% sure if your problems are directly related to eachother but have a read and see what you find

Hi i got the same problem on my gtr

sometimes when i turn the car off and the turbo timer is counting down, than the light comes on and i hear a nocking sound in the engine bay it's one of the pipes in front of the radiator and thats all i know

whell if anyone know's why now is the time to speak

Do you have an aftermarket steering wheel? This is sometimes the problem.
