was on the way home when there was a bit of a long strech in my area, thought id give it a punch, i realised it came onto boost alot quicker then normal, i remembered the other day i was playing around with the boost and duty settings on the apexi AVCR.

ive come to realise that the higher Duty % the faster my boost pressure goes up. i believe its got something to do with the wastegate because it opens later and later the higher the Duty %.

i guess my main question is will this cause any harm? and whats the diff between high Duty and Low Duty and how does it affect boost?

It in itself doesn't do harm, but has a few spin off effects.

The faster ramp increases your chances of a spike past your desired boost threshold, which is going to hurt if youv tuned it on the limit, and another 3 psi at 7k rpm is going to detonate.

Also it can be hard to tune the point where it does ramp quickly and cause undesired fueling situations; though i think this is more of an issue for much larger then stock setups

So to A: as long as your AF ratios are cool in this new condition, you'll be ok
