Tapping Noise

Hi guys hope someone can help my gtr has a loud tapping noise comming from the top of the motor.It starts at about 2000rpm and as i rev harder it stops.Is she about to let go.

shims need adjustment on valves?

To rule out injectors pull off one connector at a time on each of the injectors while engine is running.

Thanks mate i'll the injectors in the morning,Is it a big job to do the shims.

sort of, u need to measure the clearance between the cam and lifter first then remove the covers/cams/belt/lifters, do a few measurements and calculations and refer to the workshop manual, get the desired shim to close the gap all but leaving a small clearance for heat expansion etc

Do you think i should park her up and not drive it till i can fix it.
