You can look it up in the Skeptics Dictionary - you'll find it between Haunted Houses and Homeopathy. To quote

"Hiclone promises fuel savings of up to 20%, power increase of up to 15%, and hydro carbon emission reductions of up to 30% with prices from $160-$215 (Australian). They'll even sell you something called Fuelmax which "is a magnetic frequency resonator which clips onto the fuel line and 'fractures' the passing fuel, allowing it to mix with oxygen more readily and thus burn more efficiently." This should keep you laughing for up to ten minutes"

The results were certainly good, although I onnly laughed for 5 minutes - perhaps because I'm an old bastard and remember the Brock Polariser and such.

Gav, Ant fit a polariser to your car, and it's making 1000hp now :)

Those so called magnetic stuff are crap. Same as broquet fuel catalyst or what nots. Wtf would something invented in WW1 be so amazingly applicable today that major maufacturers don't implement it? Think about it. Manufacturers would boost their sales if they can increase their fuel efficency with just a few hundred bucks. After all... whats a few hundred when u're paying thousands? Every car manufacturer, esp in the economy class, toyota, mitsubishi, etc.. are trying to get better fuel economy so as to promote their cars, you'd think something as "proven" as fuel magnets and stuff like that would make their way into the production line if it worked.

So cut the crappy stuff out, and think for a while. It's all a placebo. " I paid good $$ for it and it definitely works, cause if it didn't i'm as good as a sucker"

Sorry if it was too blunt and harsh, its just that i've got wayyyyy too many friends who paid good $$ for this kinda stuff to try to improve fuel economy and get more power. And they swear by it, and it just gets a lil irritating sometimes. The best way to get better fuel economy out of your car is always your right foot, and of course your necessary maintenence, tyres and tyre pressure, etc.
