Right Turbo?

Guys, how do I tell if a certain turbo is suitable for my car? I have an R32 GTST & have recently purchased a t3/t4 turbo, being told it was a bolt-on item. Now realisisng it is not, I'm starting to wonder how suited it is to my engine. Has anybody tried or seen this engine/turbo combination before & with what results? I am wondering if I should spend the money modifying it to fit or resell it & spend the extra on a Sliding highflow. This is my 1st turbo upgrade. Thanks

So a t3/t4 is no good?Not at all? What do you think would happen if I did put it on?

laggy, dinosaur components and problaby has some difficult flange/dump pattern. sounds like a lot of stuffing around. the factory unit is ball bearing oil & water cooled. you would be silly to change to anything less

So apart from the ceramic wheels, my stock turbo is better than what ive got? Thank you very much for your help mate

well its probably older spec bush bearing so it wont have as good response

sure it might make more power but could make the car a pig to drive

without knowing the specs of the unit its all guess work and hope for the best type outcome. there are plently of off the shelf ball bearing units for the rb20 that you can use, with proven results
